Casey Cares Foundation on Road To Recovery After Out-Pouring of Support From Business Community

Baltimore, MD (June 19, 2007) – The Casey Cares Foundation, a non-profit charity that provides uplifting programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families in the Maryland area, announced today the receipt of 2,100 square feet of donated office space from St. John Properties, Inc. The new headquarters, which is located less than one mile from their previous site that was completely destroyed in a fire earlier this month, represents the latest donation of office equipment and supplies from the Baltimore business community.

St. John Properties, a Baltimore-based commercial real estate firm that owns and manages more than 13 million square feet of space in six states, contacted Casey Baynes, Founder and Executive Director of the children’s charity, to offer the available space for a period of six months.

“We are extremely grateful to be a new tenant of St. John Properties, as this office space provides us with a new home for our staff and volunteers to continue to serve the needs of critically ill children and their families,” said Casey Baynes, Founder and Executive Director. “We have been overwhelmed by the out-pouring of donations that we have received from local businesses and individuals since our tragedy. The support has inspired and motivated our entire team to overcome this challenge and move forward,” she added.

In less than three weeks since the fire destroyed the charity’s headquarters, the Casey Cares Foundation will be operational in their new facilities, located at 3918 Vero Road, Suite C – in the Caton Research Center -- in Baltimore. Desks, computers, office supplies and other items have been donated from throughout the Baltimore community.

“The Casey Cares Foundation performs valuable work and offers important resources to local families, so providing them with free office space during their crisis was an easy decision. We encourage other companies to offer assistance to their team so they can seamlessly continue the programs and activities that area children and families depend on,” stated Jerry Wit, Executive Vice President – Marketing for St. John Properties.

The Casey Cares Foundation (http://www.caseycaresfoundation.org) is a 501(c) (3) children’s charity filling a special niche for critically ill children and their families.
