Crab Cake Cafè to Open Inaugural Fast-Casual Restaurant at Annapolis Technology Park

BALTIMORE, MD (May 15, 2012) – Crab Cake Café, a division of Jerry’s Seafood, has selected Annapolis Technology Park as the site of its new fast-casual and drive-thru dining concept. The 1,329 square foot restaurant is scheduled to open later this month. Annapolis Technology Park, a project of St. John Properties, Inc. located at 2641 Riva Road in Annapolis, is a 29-acre mixed-use business community at the intersection of Riva Road and Harry S Truman Parkway, adjacent to US Route 50.

Jerry’s Seafood, which operates two full-service restaurants in the suburban Washington, D.C. marketplace, is launching Crab Cake Café (www.crabcakecafe.com) with menu items in an affordable price range, made from scratch daily. The restaurant plans to offer a variety of crab cake sandwiches, including the traditional Maryland-style, as well as a New Orleans sandwich which is prepared with andouille sausage, okra red onion, green bell pepper and a spicy remoulade sauce.

“Annapolis Technology Park is the ideal setting to launch this new restaurant based on the outstanding day-time and evening demographics that surround this business community,” explained Bill Holzman, Assistant Vice President of Retail Leasing for St. John Properties. “This fast-casual approach will utilize an intimately-scaled footprint, targeting businesspeople and families in search of an on-the-go meal experience. A number of mature business communities and office buildings, including Annapolis Corporate Center and 888 Bestgate Road, are situated nearby, the City of Annapolis is less than four miles away, and the park is surrounded by dense residential sections such as the adjacent Vineyards of Annapolis town home community. The park is easy to access from various routes and offers free on-site parking.”

More than 46,000 people reside within a three-mile radius of Annapolis Technology Park, including 19,400 households with an average household income exceeding $101.000.

Annapolis Technology Park is comprised of six building totaling approximately 130,000 square feet of office, flex and retail space.
