St. John Properties Receives Two Excellence in Construction & Real Estate Awards from The Daily Record

BALTIMORE, MD (November 20, 2020) – St. John Properties, Inc., a Baltimore-based commercial real estate and investment company, has received two awards in the annual “Excellence in Construction & Real Estate” competition sponsored by The Daily Record. The company was recognized for its national sustainability program, and Leasing Representative Stephanie Caronna was acknowledged as an industry “Rising Star.” Each year, the Maryland daily business publication celebrates individuals and companies who are changing the landscape of Maryland through design, construction, project management, lending and innovation in the construction and real estate disciplines.

Since initiating its sustainability program in 2009, St. John Properties has developed more than 4.5 million square feet of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold, Silver or Certified space across 74 buildings, utilizing guidelines developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). LEED-certified buildings conserve energy resources, include materials that contribute to an eco-friendly environment and are deemed healthier with the presence of natural sunlight and cleaner air. An additional 23 buildings, comprising more than 1 million square feet of commercial space across St. John Properties’ national portfolio are currently being developed for LEED certification.

Stephanie Caronna joined St. John Properties in 2016 and, in her role as Leasing Representative, seeks prospective clients for the company’s portfolio of commercial properties situated throughout Anne Arundel and Prince George’s Counties in Maryland. Her responsibilities include forming relationships with commercial real estate brokerage professionals and assisting with negotiations for new leases and renewals.

At last year’s ceremony, The Daily Record honored St. John Properties with two awards. Greenleigh, a 1,000-acre mixed-use business community in Baltimore County that includes multiple real estate classes including residential, was recognized as a “Project of the Year,” and Sean Doordan, Senior Vice President, Leasing & Acquisitions for the company was recognized as a “Rising Star.”
