St. John Properties, Inc. Acquires 18 Acres Within Baltimore Crossroads @95 to Improve Business Park Access and Flow

BALTIMORE (August 28, 2012) – St. John Properties, Inc. has announced the acquisition of eighteen acres of land situated within Baltimore Crossroads @95, a 1,000-acre mixed-use business community on MD Route 43 near Interstate 95 in the White Marsh section of Baltimore County. Since 2004, the company has developed 16 buildings representing half a million square feet of commercial office, R&D/flex and retail space in the park.

St. John Properties intends to utilize the new acreage to connect two existing land parcels and create a contiguous 60-acre building plot within Baltimore Crossroads@ 95. This road and infrastructure construction activity, which is designed to improve access and circulation within the existing business community, is expected to commence next month and be completed by the end of this year.

Upon completion, Baltimore Crossroads @95 is configured to support more than five million square feet of commercial office, R&D/flex, warehouse and industrial space, as well as two hotels and 450,000 square feet of retail space. Positioned approximately ten miles from downtown Baltimore City, the project features Crossroads Village Center, a 35,000 square foot Main Street-style retail project designed to serve the commercial office and residential components of Baltimore Crossroads @95 as well as the surrounding White Marsh and Middle River communities. Also included is The Arbors at Baltimore Crossroads, a 365-unit luxury apartment complex developed by Somerset Construction Company.

“Baltimore Crossroads@95 continues to attract a diverse array of companies, retailers and organizations looking for a mixed-use business community with immediate access to the Interstate 95 corridor as well as Baltimore City,” stated Jerry Wit, Senior Vice President, Marketing for St. John Properties.

“This park remains the largest piece of undeveloped industrial property in the greater Baltimore metropolitan region and, with this new property acquisition, we are making logistics and circulation improvements that better address the needs of our existing and future tenants,” he added. “The new design creates a business environment that will specifically target organizations looking for a multi-building presence within Baltimore Crossroads,” he added.
